I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California (#42723). I have been working with couples and families in therapy since 1999, when I began my practicum training at
Episcopal Community Services in San Diego. Since then, I have also worked for
First Avenue Counseling Centre and
Douglas Young Clinic in San Diego. I became fully licensed in early 2006, and am now in private practice in the Sorrento Valley / Del Mar area of San Diego and in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
In addition to my private practice work, I also serve as Associate Professor for the Marital and Family Therapy master’s degree program at Alliant International University in San Diego (I formerly served as Site Director on our Sacramento and Los Angeles campuses). I also serve on the Board of Directors of the No Stress Foundation.
I grew up in the midwest, and received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hastings College in Hastings, NE. I then moved to San Diego, where I received my master's and doctoral degrees in marital and family therapy from the COAMFTE-accredited program at Alliant International University.
I am a proud member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (Clinical Member), the International Family Therapy Association, and the National Council on Family Relations.
When I'm not at work, you can frequently find me running or biking along the beaches, trails and bikeways of Southern California. I'm an avid marathoner and triathlete. In my free time, I also enjoy painting and writing music.
