During our first two sessions, we'll discuss where you are now. This includes the 276-question RELATE questionnaire and report--a $40 value--absolutely free. This also will include a brief videotaping of you interacting as a couple. In our second session, we'll review the results of the RELATE and the videotape. This way you will know what you're doing well, and what specific areas may present future challenges.

Our third and fourth sessions focus on the future. We'll work together to make sure the marriage you are setting up is the kind of marriage you both want, discussing such issues as starting a family, handling finances, and working with religious differences.

Our final two sessions are designed to be your bridge between where you are and where you're headed. We'll finish our time together by focusing on specific, measurable short-term goals that will ensure you get your marriage started on the right foot. In these sessions, I use an approach called Motivational Interviewing, which studies have shown is among the best methods to create rapid growth.

At the end of our sessions, the RELATE report, subjective analysis of your videotaped interaction, a certificate of completion, and a summary of all of our work will all be yours to keep--a lasting record of the loving work you've done.
